School Libraries + e-resources: Examining the How, When, Where, and Why for POWER Library e-resources Tools in the K-12 Classroom (1.5 hours CE/ACT 48 credits) October 26, 2021 9:30am-11:00am This session will dive into the tools for differentiated instruction available within the POWER Library e-resources to use in a K-12 learning environment. We will take a look at the best ways to connect to the resources, where to find ready-made instructional materials for students, and more! Public Libraries + e-resources: Discover the How, When, Where, and Why for Utilizing POWER Library e-resources (1.5 hours CE/ACT 48 credits) October 27, 2021 9:30am-11:00am Join us as we take a look at POWER Library e-resources useful to public libraries. Our discussion won’t stop at how to navigate these resources either! We are taking a full circle look at not only the ‘how’ but the ‘when’ to use the resources, ‘where’ to find the best way to link to the resources, and ‘why’ your library should be promoting the resources.
Access PA, SHAREit, and ILL: Basics for the New, Seasoned, and In-Between (1.5 hours CE/ACT 48 credits) October 28, 2021 9:30am-11:00am We’re going retro, taking this one back to the key basic functionality of the SHAREit environment. We will be discussing the Participant Record and the Request Manager in minute detail as well as general SHAREit workflows, lender and borrower reporting, and how to avoid the dreaded FOMO* by staying in the Access Pennsylvania communications loop. *That’s “fear of missing out” for all us non-Generation Z folks!
