PA Photos and Documents Update: Internet Archive Book Reader Launch Tomorrow!
The Internet Archive Book Reader for book and newspaper content model records in PA Photos and Documents will be available beginning Wednesday, February 9.

The Internet Archive Book Reader provides the following readability, navigation, and searchability enhancements:
  1. The ability to search within a single book/bound item.
  2. Offers a customizable view consisting of two pages (default), one page, or thumbnail view.
  3. Provides better search results that omit confusing page-level records and provides users with pinpoints and highlighting where the search term appears within the work.
New functionality included with this switch to the Internet Archive Book Reader is that users can download pages by right-clicking and saving individual pages.

Tomorrow, after the update has been performed, please check out the Internet Archive Book Reader with these two sample records:

Access PA Annual Support Fee for 2022-2023
The technology support fee is based on library type for schools and by collection size for public libraries. All special collection libraries pay the same fee.

Annual fee rates for 2022-2023:

Public Libraries
Collections of up to 10,000 titles = $250.00
Collections of more than 10,000 titles = $325.00

Schools
Elementary School library = $250.00/building
Middle or High School library = $325.00/building

Special Collection Libraries = $325.00

Please note that this represents an increase of approximately 10% effective with fiscal year 2022-2023. This is the first increase in the support fee rates since 2009. If your school serves an economically distressed community and receives a discount on your annual fee, the same discount will be applied to the new amount.
