Access PA (SHAREit) Update: Shipping Label Issue to be Resolved
A SHAREit update planned for release on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, beginning at 10:00pm Eastern, is anticipated to resolve the shipping label issues.

Per the update release notes, the Shipping Label adjustments include:
  • The font size was increased and margin size decreased to improve readability.
  • Barcodes are restricted in length to prevent overflow across the page and wrapping to a second line.
    • Barcode length can be a maximum of 16 characters in the ILL#, Item#, and Patron# fields. If a barcode exceeds that length, the ILLCode, ItemCode, or PatronCode field respectively will display “(Barcode Too Long)”.
  • Line wrapping and the maximum number of lines per field have been adjusted.
    • A maximum of 6 lines is allowed for “Route To” (from the Participant Record Route Schedule).
    • If used on Avery labels, remember that they have a line limit of 5 for all fields.
    • Other fields, like Address 1, Address 2, Title, and Author may wrap to 2 lines if needed.
  • HTML code used in the Participant Record Route Schedule field was rendering properly on Consortium labels but the code was printing on Avery labels rather than the desired format, e.g., “ILL Dept.” displayed on the label rather than “ILL Dept.” – this has been corrected.
Everything should look good on Wednesday morning. However, if you see any issues with shipping labels or anything else, please contact support at the link below.

Access PA Annual Support Fee for 2022-2023
The technology support fee is based on library type for schools and by collection size for public libraries. All special collection libraries pay the same fee.

Annual fee rates for 2022-2023:

Public Libraries
Collections of up to 10,000 titles = $250.00
Collections of more than 10,000 titles = $325.00

Schools
Elementary School library = $250.00/building
Middle or High School library = $325.00/building

Special Collection Libraries = $325.00

Please note that this represents an increase of approximately 10% effective with fiscal year 2022-2023. This is the first increase in the support fee rates since 2009. If your school serves an economically distressed community and receives a discount on your annual fee, the same discount will be applied to the new amount.
