Digital Collections and EDI: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Sharing Our Stories
HSLC's Digitization Specialist, Nicole Joniec, presented a conference poster session on October 18th and spoke with attendees about efforts to diversify Pennsylvania’s digital collections. If you have content related to Pennsylvania’s diverse history and culture, Nicole would be happy to discuss ways of sharing your materials beyond your institution’s doors.

Prior Version of PA Photos and Documents to be Sunset
This notice provided to library staff is to alert you that the old version of PA Photos and Documents, which resided on a CONTENTdm software platform, will be fully sunset on 11/1/2022. What do libraries need to do?
If you provide links to collections or specific items hosted in PA Photos and Documents, please be sure that links point to the PA Photos and Documents service on the domain that begins with:
https://digitalarchives.powerlibrary.org/

The correct and incorrect domains for PA Photos and Documents are demonstrated below:
If you provide links that point to the incorrect domain, it will be necessary to update them.

Single Sign-On for Remote Access is available for Google and Clever!
Looking to make it easier for your students?
Looking to make it easier for your students to access POWER Library e-resources from home? Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication is now available for school districts using Google or Clever as their SSO platform.

No more eCards or library cards!
SSO eliminates the need for students to enter library card or eCard numbers.
What will it cost my school to make SSO available?
There is no additional fee to add SSO authentication for public school districts. However, every school in the district must participate in POWER Library. Private schools will be assessed a small annual fee to add SSO authentication.
