Happy Holidays and HSLC Office Closure Notice
HSLC will be closed for business on Friday, Dec. 23, Monday, Dec. 26, Friday, Dec. 30, and Monday, Jan. 2 in observance of the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays.

HSLC staff will monitor support for any notification of service outages. All other support needs will be responded to upon our return to work.
Our best wishes for a joyous holiday season and a successful new year!

End of Year Staff Changes?
Moving to a new school, retiring, or otherwise leaving your current position? Please let us know! Keeping us updated with contact changes ensures staff are kept up-to-date on lists, newsletters, and invoices issued by HSLC are received.

Product Update Notice: Business Insights: Essentials is Now Business Insights
Business Insights provides users with detailed financial, historical, and current event information on over 400,000 companies, industries, and countries. Users can easily find Plunkett Reports, SWOT analyses, case studies, comparison charts, scholarly journals, and more on the new platform.
What do libraries need to do? The e-resource link will remain the same, so no changes are required to links.
However, the name has changed and the e-resource icon has been updated. Libraries that present the e-resource icon on their website, social media, etc., will need to update the product name and to obtain the updated icon available in the For Librarians section of POWER Library.

POWER Library/Access PA Annual Technology Support Fee Notice
The technology support fee will remain the same for 2023-24.

Invoices will be distributed in April of 2023.

When will HSLC start responding to support from the new help desk?

What does the change mean for library staff? 

Other than the emails you receive from HSLC support looking a little bit different, there will not be much change for library staff. You will still open tickets the same way you did before:
  • Send an email to support@hslc.org
  • Complete the POWER Library Support Form
What action should libraries take to prepare for the new help desk?
Whitelist support@hslc.org and Freshdesk.com by updating your allowed list.

What if you have tickets still pending from our current help desk?
HSLC staff will continue to respond to tickets in the current help desk until they are resolved.
