Training Update for 2023

Topic image

For 2023, we will not be offering in-person or live online training sessions in the spring.

Our research has indicated that library staff prefer online self-paced training opportunities over longer, live virtual sessions, so our focus through the end of 2022 and into 2023 has been to build training modules for the soon to be launched POWER Academy.

POWER Academy will be available through Niche Academy and will provide a myriad of bite-sized trainings on all of the core services in POWER Library as well as other, POWER Library related topics. More information coming soon!

Fall Training to be in-person
We do still intend to provide in-person training this fall at multiple locations throughout PA, and if we don't see you at a conference this spring or summer, we hope to see you in the fall!

SSO for ClassLink is Now Available

Looking to make it easier for your students to access POWER Library e-resources from home?

Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication allows students to access POWER Library e-resources with their school accounts. HSLC now offers three options for SSO! Fully participating school districts and independent schools may enroll in Google, Clever and/or ClassLink SSO, and may use any combination of the three. SSO eliminates the need for students to enter library card or eCard numbers.
