Add a Link to PA Online Learning Tutorials from Your Website!

Your Library's Link to PA Online Learning is available in the Links Generator.

PA Online Learning, provided by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries for all Pennsylvanians, is a FREE growing collection of tutorials on how to use software, social media, and library resources, such as POWER Library! 

The icon and link have been added to the Links Generator in the POWER Library - For Librarians so that libraries may add the link to their website, blogs, social media posts, etc.

Act 48 Now Available for POWER Academy

POWER Academy now supports Act 48 and Continuing Education (CE) credits! Continuing education credits and Act 48 are earned in 15-minute increments through POWER Academy and the amount earned will depend on the length of the tutorial. Simply find and view a tutorial and complete a short quiz based on what you learned.

Fall Training - Mark Your Calendar!

POWER Library training will occur in October. Training will be in-person only. Locations for fall training are based on a number of criteria including the availability of training locations, costs of the locations, access to free parking, HSLC staff efficiency related to travel, etc. 

Registration, agenda, and more for fall training will be available in August.

E-Resource Subject Listings Revised and Expanded

The subject listing for the e-resources has been revised and expanded to further highlight existing subjects and add new subjects.

For example, the former Health/Science subject is now separated. Additionally, the following new subjects have been added:

  • Computers and Technology
  • DEI
  • Do-It-Yourself
  • History

The e-resources included within many subjects have been expanded to include e-resources listed within the Gale Topic Collections.
