Attention: K-12 Participants:
ILL Summer Holiday Mode Began On April 26

The end of the school year is fast approaching, so all K-12 school SHAREit accounts have been placed into Holiday Mode beginning Friday, April 26th, 2024. This will prevent schools from receiving any new loan requests as they prepare to shut down their libraries for summer break. School accounts will come out of Holiday Mode and begin receiving requests again on Monday, September 9th, 2024.

Fall Training -
Save the Date!

What participants said about last year's POWER Library training:
  • It was wonderful! I just started as a librarian last year and I learned so much today. I can’t wait to take what I learned back to the teachers and students that I work with.
  • It was one of the best trainings I've been to in a long time. I had been struggling with knowing how to access and navigate the databases, but now I feel much more confident in using these resources with my students and staff members.
We can't wait to see you this fall, so please save the date for Fall Training!

POWER Library/Access PA Annual Technology Support Fee Notice

The technology support fee will remain the same for 2024-25.

Invoices will be distributed in April of 2024.

What are the cost-savings of participating in POWER Library?
Statewide contracts for POWER Library resources are paid by the Pennsylvania Department of Education/Office of Commonwealth Libraries.  In turn, your school or library benefits by not having to purchase these databases from local funds.

  • It would cost a school $56,515 to subscribe to all of the e-resources in POWER Library on their own.
  • It would cost a public library $73,366 to subscribe to all of the e-resources in POWER Library on their own.

In addition to cost-savings, participants are provided with enhanced support, training, and custom programming for access to the e-resources.
