Sending Materials to the Correct Institution?

Since many of our Pennsylvania institutions have similar names, please double-check that you are sending materials to the correct institution.

For example, we have had several packages intended for the Luzerne County Community College library go to the Luzerne County Libraries’ hub at Osterhout and vice versa. It's not a huge deal in the grand scheme, but it does mean that it’s even longer before the patron gets the item they requested.

Here are a couple of notes about the five-character codes in use.
  • Codes that start with “A" are post-secondary institutions such as a community college or university.  Academic partners don’t do shipping hubs, so their requests should never be mailed to a hub.
  • Codes that start with “P” are public libraries. Please be sure not to mail the item to an institution with “college” or “university” in the name.
Thank you for your continued work in support of the cooperative!

Do you know what would have happened to the signers of the Declaration of Independence if the  American Revolution had failed?
