There is a problem with the due dates assigned to items in SHAREit. We have been able to verify that the issue is a SHAREit defect and we are working with Auto-Graphics to isolate the issue for a fix. The issue that occurs with some transactions is that when an item is marked “Shipped,” SHAREit deducted 7 days from the due date that it assigned to the loan when you marked it “Will Supply.” In light of all of our hub shipping efforts, this is important to resolve so we are working closely with Auto-Graphics to isolate the cause as soon as possible. Testing seems to identify that the problem occurs when the item is filled by a library that’s a ztarget library (but not when the borrowing library is a ztarget library). However, it has yet to be confirmed whether that’s actual causation, merely correlation, or just coincidence. The Fix for Now The easiest fix when this happens to one of your loans is to manually change the due date before you actually “submit” the shipped status change. As soon as we know more, particularly the timetable for a fix, we will let you know. |
