Do You Have Copyright Questions About Digital Collections?

The PA Digital Rights team is hosting a webinar on July 18 on Copyright for Digital Collections. The webinar is open to all staff, so please feel free to share the information with interested colleagues.
 
Event: Copyright for Digital Collections
Date: July 18 (This Thursday!)
Time: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern, on Zoom

At this webinar, Ana Enriquez from the PA Digital Rights Team will explain common copyright justifications for digital collections, including public domain status, fair use, and permission from rightsholders. Also covered will be item-level rights statements. After a short presentation from Ana, there will be time for questions from participants.

This tutorial is for school librarians, public libraries serving homeschoolers, and libraries serving/answering historical and genealogical reference questions. 

PA Photos and Documents
June Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) Harvest
8 new PA Photos and Documents collections and numerous new records were added to the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA).
 
The new POWER Library institutions now represented in the DPLA:
  • Carnegie Library of Homestead
  • Springs Historical Society via Meyersdale Public Library
The number of records contributed to DPLA by PA Photos and Documents institutions is now 196,296 records!
