Access to the E-Resources in POWER Library is Free with your PA library card or E-Card!

Learn American Sign Language (ASL) Now!

ASL is one of 120+ languages you can learn at no cost with your local library card or POWER Library E-Card.
ASL stands out as a remarkably accessible language that facilitates complete communication for individuals who are hard of hearing or d/Deaf. Consequently, mastering ASL provides a chance to establish bonds with the Deaf community and nurture friendships/relationships beyond the realm of the hearing world.

The course contains 77 lessons covering fingerspelling, over 800 sign videos, and a series of Deaf culture facts. By the end of this 30-hour course, learners will build a good foundation in ASL and Deaf culture.
