New E-Resource Enables Search of
E-Book Collections
Search EBSCO E-Books, GALE E-Books, and ProQuest E-Book Central in one place!
It's now possible to search the 3 primary e-book collections in POWER Library at once. This new e-resource, E-Book Collection, includes the records of over 20,000 e-books available in EBSCO E-Books, GALE E-Books, and ProQuest E-Book Central.

Please note that while it is not required for users to be authenticated to search the E-Book Collection e-resource, remote users not authenticated before searching E-Book Collection will need to authenticate to find the desired e-book in EBSCO E-Books, GALE E-Books, or ProQuest E-Book Central.

Auto-Graphics Cybersecurity Update Requires Testing Your Browser
Auto-Graphics, our vendor that provides SHAREit, is making efforts to increase online security, and is asking libraries to upgrade their Transport Layer Security by November 5, 2024. Transport Layer Security (TLS) is an encryption protocol intended to keep data secure when being transferred over a network.

Please test if your browsers are supporting TLS v 1.2 by visiting:

If the site loads, the device supports TLS v 1.2 or greater, and no other action is needed.

However, if the site does not load, please provide these instructions to your I.T. department for the upgrade.

Call for E-Resource RFP Response Reviewers
We Want You!
Be a part of the team that contributes to the E-Resource selection process.
HSLC has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for E-Resources. Specifically, the following E-Resources expire at the end of the year and are up for bid:
  • Academic Search Main Edition
  • AP Newsroom
  • Science Reference Source (Note that this also includes the Science Reference E-Book Collection E-Resource, which is a subset of Science Reference Source.)
However, the RFP issued broadens the scope to include other potential subjects to which vendors can respond. Find the RFP here!
Who are we seeking?
  • Librarians from POWER Library participating institutions.
What's the ask?
  • For responses submitted by vendors for your institution type, to visit trial sites and complete a score sheet. (A scoring template will be provided.)
  • We can’t provide an exact estimate of the time required for this commitment, which largely depends upon the number of viable proposals submitted by vendors.
