The Wissahickon Magazine Collection 1903-1931
This collection, made available by the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, began as a monthly magazine produced by the students of Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia. Its first run from 1903 to 1933 served primarily as a school literary magazine, but it also contains editorials about current events, school news, athletic highlights and scores, and many pages of local advertising.
History of Edgewood Schools
The materials in this collection, made available by the C. C. Mellor Memorial Library, include papers and documents related to the discussion and foundation of the local school district, its curriculum, faculty members, school board activities, goals, and achievements. Early class photos are included as well as the continuing development of the district up until the court mandated merger with several surrounding districts which created the Woodland Hills School District.
