Gale Academic OneFile Select covers everything from art and literature to economics and the sciences. This resource for academic research
integrates the full text of publications from across the disciplines and now includes vocational/technical titles used by community college students, filling a specific need for curriculum-oriented collections. Gale Academic OneFile Select provides indexing for more than 5,000 periodicals, more than 2,800 in full text without any embargo. The combination of full text for scholarly journals and selected general interest titles for smaller academic libraries is ideal. (EBSCO Academic Search Main Edition will be removed from POWER Library.)

The new and returning e-resources are not yet available on POWER Library sites or the Links Generator. They will automatically appear in the List All, By Subject, and POWER Teens when they are available.

GALE OneFile News lets you browse and read full-text newspapers from more than 2,300 major U.S. regional, national, and local newspapers, plus
leading titles from around the world, or search articles instantly by title, headline, date, author, newspaper section, or other fields. News also includes thousands of images, radio and TV broadcasts, and transcripts.
Science Reference Source includes hundreds of full text science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals, and other reliable
sources. View more than 280,000 high-quality science images from sources such as UPI, Getty, NASA, National Geographic, and the Nature Picture Library.
E-Resources not noted above were not considered in this procurement and will be continuing in POWER Library.
EBSCO will be updating the user interface for several databases. The update will occur automatically, and no action is required from library staff. Affected databases are those on the EBSCOhost platform, which will transition to the EXPLORA user interface.
Important Notes:
This update will not affect the POWER Library database links.
Libraries will not need to make any changes to their websites as a result of this update.
If your institution has user documentation for these databases, it may need to be updated.
