New POWER Library Program - Save the Date!
POWER Library will be 'popping up' at a library near you this spring.
Join us for a new POWER Library program - POWER Pop Up!
Each program will run from 10:30 am-12:30 pm and include training on POWER Library e-resources, hands-on engagement activities, POWER Library materials, and more! We can't wait to see you this spring, so please mark your calendar for the location near you. Many thanks to our host libraries!
  • April 8th at Frank Sarris Public Library in Canonsburg
  • April 9th at Franklin Public Library in Franklin 
  • April 10th at St. Marys Public Library in St. Marys
  • April 11th at Schlow Centre Region Library in State College 
  • April 15th at Hershey Public Library in Hershey
  • April 16th at Wissahickon Valley Public Library in Blue Bell
  • April 17th at Easton Area Public Library in Easton 
Registration opens in early March.

Transparent Language is proud to host Transparent Language Online training webinars for librarians, aimed at keeping you fresh on various aspects of Transparent Language.
What will participants learn?
The best language learning platform is the one your patrons actually use. But they can't use it if they don't know about it. Which means you've gotta spread the word about Transparent Language Online, and we've gotta help you.

HSLC wishes everyone a joyful President's Day holiday!
HSLC will be closed for business on Monday, February 17. HSLC staff will monitor support for any notification of service outages. All other support needs will be responded to upon our return to work on Tuesday, February 18.

POWER Library Annual Technology Fee for 2025-2026
The fee will remain the same for 2025-2026.
Schools
  • Elementary School library = $250.00/building
  • Middle or High School library = $325.00/building
Please be aware that for schools accessing POWER Library through Single Sign-On (SSO), there is an eligibility requirement that all schools within a district must participate in POWER Library.
 
Public Libraries
  • Collections of up to 10,000 titles = $250.00
  • Collections of more than 10,000 titles = $325.00
Special Collection Libraries = $325.00

Academic Search Main Edition (EBSCO) To Be Available Through June 30, 2025
Help us keep the participant directory accurate!
Academic Search Main Edition (EBSCO) is now accessible to all participating public libraries and K-12 institutions through POWER Library until June 30, 2025.
  
You can find Academic Search Main Edition in the List All and By Subject sections, and on POWER Teens as well. Institutions linking to these sites don’t need to take any action—Academic Search Main Edition will automatically appear.
 
Additionally, K-12 schools using Single Sign-On (SSO) to access POWER Library e-resources don’t need to make any changes.
 
If your institution would like to provide a direct link to Academic Search Main Edition, you can obtain it via the Links Generator.

When are e-resources up for re-bid?
The POWER Library subscriptions with their expiration/re-bid years is posted in the Librarians’ Hub as “E-Resource Subscription Terms” under the E-Resources menu at this location:
