Single Sign-On (SSO)
vs. IP Authentication
Know the Difference!
Information for K-12 Participants!
SINGLE SIGN-ON (SSO)
SSO is available for schools that:
  • Use ClassLink, Clever, or Google as their SSO platform.
  • All schools in a district participate in POWER Library.
What's great? SSO allows users to sign-in to SSO from inside school or from home and not be prompted for a library card number.

What's worth noting?
  • SSO does not provide local usage statistics.
  • Using the unique link provided by the Links Generator to access the POWER Library is not access via SSO.
Note: Private and Cyber Schools are eligible for SSO for an additional small annual fee.

IP AUTHENTICATION
IP authentication is available to all POWER Library participating institutions, and the important points are:
  • IP authentication uses your school's external IP addresses as the basis for enabling users inside your school to access the e-resources without being challenged for a library card number.
  • Each school must use their unique link for IP authentication to work. Find the link for your school in the Links Generator.
What's worth noting? Users accessing the unique link for your school from home will be prompted for a library card number.

Getting Started with Transparent Language Online!
Professional Development Webinar On March 11!
What will participants learn?
The best language learning platform is the one your patrons actually use. But they can't use it if they don't know about it. Which means you've gotta spread the word about Transparent Language Online, and we've gotta help you.
First step: getting to know the platform. Join Transparent Language staff for an introduction (or a refresher) of Transparent Language Online for Libraries. We'll take a look at the learning portal including...
  • setting learning goals & earning streaks
  • browsing popular courses & creating your own learning path
  • touring through a lesson & various learning activities
  • exploring what's new lately (and maybe a sneak peek at what's coming soon?)
When can I attend?
