We Need Your Input!
What are the most important E-Resources and services?
As we navigate these uncertain times, it's important to stay optimistic while also preparing for potential challenges. To help us better understand what matters most to you, please take a few minutes to complete a brief survey. Your feedback will inform us in prioritizing the most essential services and e-resources in POWER Library.

Feel free to share the survey with your coworkers using this link:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/POWER-Survey-2025
The survey will close on Friday, May 9.

Attention: K-12 Participants:
ILL Summer Holiday Mode Began On April 30

Are you returning to your school in the fall?
The end of the school year is fast approaching, so all K-12 school SHAREit accounts have been placed into Holiday Mode beginning Friday, April 30th, 2025. This will prevent schools from receiving any new loan requests as they prepare to shut down their libraries for summer break. School accounts will come out of Holiday Mode and begin receiving requests again on Monday, September 8th, 2025.

Not returning to your school this fall?
If you are not returning to your school in the fall, please let HSLC support know so we can update our participant directory and e-mail lists and can plan to reach out to your school in the fall for the new contact.

Highlights from the Most Recent DPLA Harvest!
Which institution is newly represented in DPLA?
The March Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) harvest resulted in the following:
  • 11 new collections added
  • Many new records added
  • Unionville High School is newly represented in the DPLA
There are now 199,787 PA Photos and Documents records in DPLA!

What is DPLA? DPLA works with a national network of partners to make millions of materials from libraries, archives, museums, and other cultural institutions across the country available to all in a one-stop discovery experience. Check out

Improved Access to E-Book Collection Now Available!
Three E-Book Collections in One Place!
Users can now search across all three e-book platforms (EBSCO E-Books, GALE E-Books, and ProQuest E-Book Central) in one place.

What Do Libraries Need to Do?
If your library links directly to the E-Book Collection (on your website, LMS, etc.), you’ll need to update that link.
Get the new link in the Links Generator now!

Will Access to Individual Platforms Still Be Available?
Yes - for now. Direct access to EBSCO E-Books, GALE E-Books, and ProQuest E-Book Central platforms will remain available through June 30, 2025. After that, with full access available through the enhanced E-Book Collection, separate e-resources will no longer be available.

Anything Else To Know?
Local usage statistics will not be reported for usage of the E-Book Collection. These updates to the E-Book Collection will greatly improve the user experience by providing a single resource whereby all major e-book platforms in POWER Library will be consolidated for easy discovery and access. While the focus of the update is to improve the user experience, it is made possible because OCL's reporting requirements no longer mandate individual libraries to submit e-resource statistics.
