Single Sign-On (SSO) Survey for K-12 Schools
Survey deadline is October 15!
HSLC is working to identify which SSO platforms should be supported for POWER Library access. We ask participating K–12 schools to complete this short survey to let us know which platforms you are currently using. Please respond by October 15.

Single Sign-On
Single Sign-On (SSO) Migration Deadline is October 15th
Seeing the below message when logging into SSO?
If yes, your district needs to migrate!
If your district’s schools have not yet migrated to the new SSO apps, this must be completed by October 15, 2025. The updated apps allow school SSO platforms to link directly to POWER Kids, POWER Teens, and List All E-Resources.

The current SSO, which functions as a single app requiring users to choose between POWER Kids, POWER Teens, or List All E-Resources, will be retired on October 15, 2025. To ensure uninterrupted access, please complete your migration before this date. If migration has not yet been completed, your librarian or technology staff should contact HSLC support.

OverDrive
Is Live!
Audiobooks available from POWER Library for the first time!
Does authentication to OverDrive work like most e-resources?
Nope! Because OverDrive requires an account to read or listen to books, all users must log in with a public library card or an E-Card. That said, OverDrive will still be listed on POWER Kids, POWER Teens, List All, and By Subject lists, but users will need to enter either their public library OverDrive credentials or E-Card credentials.

Is there anything special about using an E-Card to access OverDrive?
Yup! At this time, E-Card users will need to create a PIN. We are processing these manually at this time, so it might take a few days to respond to requests.
IMPORTANT: OverDrive/Libby content is available only on the new POWER Library website. We are currently in preview mode, with a link from the current POWER Library site directing users to the new site. On October 17, the new POWER Library website will officially replace the current one.
E-Book Collection E-Resource: All records for OverDrive titles are included here. Pro tip - titles for EBSCO, GALE, and ProQuest are also found here.
Although OverDrive/Libby titles appear in the E-Book Collection E-Resource, users must still enter a public library card or E-Card number to read or listen to them.

New POWER Library Website Preview Available Now!
The new website switch will occur on October 17!
We’ve given the interface a fresh new design! It's cleaner, simpler, and free of clutter! If you joined us in voting on design options at last fall’s events, you’ll probably recognize the style. Best of all, the new design is super mobile-friendly and built with accessibility in mind.

Important updates about the new POWER Library website:
  • Preview Launch: The new POWER Library website went live as a preview on September 15.
  • Transition Period: Both the current site and the new preview will run side by side until October 17, giving everyone time to explore before the full switch.
  • Feedback Welcome: User surveys will be available on the new POWER Library website during the preview period so we can gather feedback and make improvements.
  • E-Resources: Direct links to E-Resources found in the Links Generator will stay the same. No changes to your website are needed.
  • SSO Access: No updates are required for Single Sign-On (SSO) applications.
  • Website Links: Most POWER Library website links will remain unchanged once the preview ends and the new site becomes official.
  • What’s Not Changing: The redesign does not apply to POWER Kids, POWER Teens, or the Librarians Hub websites.
  • Staff Tools: Access to ILL, Chat, and Digital Collections management is unaffected.
