New Collections in PA Photos & Documents
Learn about the "Robin Hood of Pennsylvania.”
Here are some recently added digital collections.
David Lewis, Counterfeiter and Robber — This collection is made available by Centre County Library & Historical Museum, and is about David Lewis, a notorious outlaw who died in the Bellefonte, PA, jail in July 1820. The legendary counterfeiter and robber became known as the “Robin Hood of Pennsylvania” as well as other monikers like “Lewis the Robber”, David “Robber” Lewis, and “Davey Lewis”. David Lewis was born circa 1790 in what is now Milesburg, Centre County, PA. This collection includes original documents which provide unique insights about David’s background and criminal career.
Uniontown Public Library - Old Home Week August 26 to 31, 1912 Uniontown Pennsylvania Official Program — This souvenir program, made available by Uniontown Public Library, is the official program booklet that was prepared for the Old Home Week celebration in Uniontown, PA. Old Home Week took place from August 26-31, 1912. New POWER Library Website
Preview Period Ending October 17
The switch to the new design will occur on October 17!
We’ve given the interface a fresh new design! It's cleaner, simpler, and free of clutter! If you joined us in voting on design options at last fall’s events, you’ll probably recognize the style. Best of all, the new design is super mobile-friendly and built with accessibility in mind.

Important updates about the new POWER Library website:
  • Transition Period: Both the current site and the new preview will run side by side until October 17, giving everyone time to explore before the full switch.
  • Feedback Welcome: User surveys will be available on the new POWER Library website during the preview period so we can gather feedback and make improvements.
  • E-Resources: Direct links to E-Resources found in the Links Generator will stay the same. No changes to your website are needed.
  • SSO Access: No updates are required for Single Sign-On (SSO) applications.
  • Website Links: Most POWER Library website links will remain unchanged once the preview ends and the new site becomes official.
  • What’s Not Changing: The redesign does not apply to POWER Kids, POWER Teens, or the Librarians Hub websites.
  • Staff Tools: Access to ILL, Chat, and Digital Collections management is unaffected.

Single Sign-On
Single Sign-On (SSO) Migration Deadline is October 15th
Seeing the below message when logging into SSO?
If yes, your district needs to migrate!
If your district’s schools have not yet migrated to the new SSO apps, this must be completed by October 15, 2025. The updated apps allow school SSO platforms to link directly to POWER Kids, POWER Teens, and List All E-Resources.

The current SSO, which functions as a single app requiring users to choose between POWER Kids, POWER Teens, or List All E-Resources, will be retired on October 15, 2025. To ensure uninterrupted access, please complete your migration before this date. If migration has not yet been completed, your librarian or technology staff should contact HSLC support.
