Access to the E-Resources in POWER Library is

Free with your PA library card or E-Card!

A new year is the perfect time to set new goals. POWER Library has tools to help you learn new skills, grow in your career, and read books that expand your perspective.

Learn Practical Skills for Everyday Success
Start the year by learning something practical and immediately useful. PA Online Learning offers free, easy-to-follow tutorials on popular software and digital tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other everyday tech skills. Whether you’re brushing up for school, preparing for a job search, or simply trying to feel more confident using technology, these short lessons make learning approachable and stress-free.
Try a “Skill-of-the-Week” challenge—complete one tutorial each week in January and track your progress as you build confidence and competence.

Kick off the new year with books that help you grow. POWER Library E-Book Search provides access to digital reference books and nonfiction titles on topics like education, leadership, career planning, and personal development. These e-books are great for gaining background knowledge, finding inspiration, or learning strategies to stay motivated and organized throughout the year. Best of all, they’re available anytime—no wait lists or due dates.
Choose one goal for the year (better study habits, leadership skills, or productivity) and read one chapter a week from a related e-book to stay motivated.

Success isn’t just about academics—it’s also about learning how to be kind, respectful, and responsible. BookFLIX pairs engaging storybook videos with nonfiction titles to help young learners explore important life skills in a meaningful way. Featured stories like Conflict Resolution: When Friends Fight, Each Kindness, Kindness and Generosity: It Starts with Me!, We Help Out at School, and We Are Citizens spark conversations about empathy, teamwork, and being an active member of a community.
A fun activity idea: watch a story together, then ask kids to share a time they showed kindness or helped someone—perfect for home or classroom discussions.
