Getting started with OverDrive is simple—and we’re here to help!
OverDrive E-Books & Audiobooks
First, check with your local library to see if they already have an OverDrive account. Many libraries list this information right on their website or check here: https://powerlibrary.org/do-i-need-an-e-card-to-access-overdrive-libby/
Ā

Remember—Libby, the free app for OverDrive, makes it simple to enjoy eBooks and audiobooks on the go. Access titles from your phone, tablet, or other device, even offline. To get started, simply add POWER Library as one of your libraries in the app.
Ā
And for younger readers, we’ve got dedicated spaces designed just for them—OverDrive Kids and OverDrive Teens—filled with age-appropriate titles they’ll love.

šŸ“š EBSCO E-Book Update (Starting April 16)
If you download e-books from EBSCO E-Books to read offline, the app used to open them is changing. Beginning April 16, downloaded titles will open in Thorium Reader instead of Adobe Digital Editions.
  • Thorium Reader is a free e-book app for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • This change only affects downloaded e-books. Reading online in your browser will stay the same.
  • Other POWER Library e-book platforms, including Gale, ProQuest, and OverDrive, are not affected.

Explore the Human Mind
What makes us think, feel, and behave the way we do? This month’s psychology picks dive into human behavior, decision-making, and emotional intelligence—perfect for readers looking to better understand themselves and others.
